Eating at: Savage Garden

Jessica Gardiner

If it’s a view you’re after, Savage Garden puts most London locations to shame.

Situated on the 12th floor of the Doubletree by Hilton in Tower Hill, only a three minute walk from Fenchurch Street station, Savage Garden combines luxurious interior design with jaw dropping views and exquisite cocktails to create an incredible guest experience.

With an ethos that concentrates on the unexpected, the interior of the 12th floor is brutal yet sultry, urban yet opulent with reflective, scored and savaged surfaces contrasting with plush velvet finishes and marble floors. And the two terraces providing a 360-degree view of the London skyline including The Shard, Tower of London and St Pauls Cathedral aren’t bad either.

The food menu is theatrically created ranging from sharing plates through to larger main course options and feasting boards. Perfect for individuals as well as groups, the team at Savage Garden are able to cater to all dietary requirements ensuring there is something for everyone. What would we recommend on the menu? We tucked into a few dishes with the ‘Citrus Buttermilk Chicken Sliders with Kimchi Slaw and Korean style Ketchup’ being one of our favourites however stealing the show completely? The Coconut Beef Short Ribs cooked for no less than 12 hours was a total game changer.

For private events, Savage Garden offers a variety of spaces which are some of the best we have recently seen in London. Choose between two sky high rooftop terraces (capacity 120), the main bar or a private dining room (25 board room style meeting or 40 for a seated dinner), the venue can accommodate up to 380 guests for all occasions including weddings, product launches and more.

For every occasion, from dinner to drinks, to the Savage Garden Afternoon Tea and an express business lunch, perfect for all city residents and clients alike, this venue really does tick every box. For Personal and Executive Assistants with difficult to please Execs or those who are on the lookout for a cool new city watering hole for an office knees up, Savage Garden deserves your attention as much if not more than most venues in London.
